Science for Life! - National Science Week at Queensland Museum South Bank
15-23 August 2009
A week full of free science-based learning experiences. Meet Queensland Museum scientists as they show specimens and talk about their work. Enjoy a range of fascinating science activities, exhibits, an evening lecture and film event about ecology, information about careers, plus lots of online games and resources.

Supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week.

Queensland Connections 2009
Presented on the first Wednesday of every month from February to November, Queensland Connections 2009, explores a colourful range of topics from the defence preparations of North Queensland during World War II, through to life on a Queensland gold field and the origins of the famous macadamia nut industry.

Wildlife Workshops 2009
These intensive workshops are presented by Museum experts and are designed to give participants a deeper understanding and appreciation of our spectacular wildlife. A resource pack covering the content of the workshop and related material is provided.

Topics for 2009 explore small mammals, spiders and snakes of the Great South-east and will run from September to November 2009. All workshops are held at Queensland Museum South Bank.
