Packed with interactives and things to explore, ENERGEX Playasaurus Place focuses on a positive and sustainable future, while exploring energy, climate change, ancient animals and plants, and what we can do to make a difference and create a bright future. ![]() Rex the T rex Visitors can trace the story of energy throughout the ages, from the time when dinosaurs ruled the earth to the industrial revolution and through to today. Rex the T rexMeet our newest dinosaur Rex as he pops up all around the exhibition, inviting children to play, do, think and learn. Rex might be 65 million years old but still loves to have fun. Can you find Rex? Exploring ENERGEX Playasaurus PlaceOur bright, bold and energetic Energy Timeline showcases energy sources and energy generation for our planet, our bodies and our lives, from the age of dinosaurs, to present day and beyond. Through hands-on interactives and colourful displays, visitors are encouraged to think about energy use and to make choices about the future. Discover our popular life-sized dinosaurs including a nest of dinosaur eggs beneath the triceratops. Activate x-ray images to see the babies within the eggs and watch closely as our dinosaurs eggs might be ready to hatch! Be photographed with the T rex, learn all about this celebrity dinosaur and how this famous replica came to live at the Museum. Groove to dinosaur-themed songs complete with actions broadcast throughout the day. Compare the size of your feet to the footprints the dinosaurs left during a stampede around 95 million years ago. The Lark Quarry dinosaur trackway representation is a 2D representation which depicts part of the trackway discovered in Winton, Queensland during the 1960s.
