During this three hour workshop, you will be introduced to the frogs of Greater Brisbane and South-east Queensland. Frogs are not only very popular with amateur and professional naturalists but also with home-owners and gardeners too. This workshop will focus on the identification of adult frogs, their natural history and conservation.

This workshop will include:

  • A slide show of SEQ frogs and highlight features useful for identification.
  • Recordings of frog calls and information useful for identification.
  • Tips on frog-watching, minimising the transfer of frog diseases and setting up a backyard frog-pond.

Presenter:
Greg Czechura has long been interested in frogs and is one of the few people to have known the now extinct Southern Platypus Frog and Southern Day Frog in the wild. He is the author of a forthcoming Queensland Museum Pocket Guide, Frogs of South-east Queensland.
