School & group booking

1. Confirmation: Your booking is not confirmed until you receive your written Group Visit Confirmation. If you do not receive your confirmation within 5 working days, please contact our Group Booking Officer. Once confirmed, your group will receive an entry ticket and itinerary for your visit.
2. Changing your booking: Contact our Group Booking Officer as soon as possible if you need to change your booking or if your written confirmation does not reflect your submitted booking, on education@qm.qld.gov.au or (07) 3840 7608.
3. Prices: Please be aware that all prices are subject to change. A general museum visit is free of charge with some charges for special exhibitions. The Sciencentre is a charged exhibition and is GST free. Optional school programs led by museum staff are charged and include GST.
4. Group discount to the Sciencentre applies with 10 or more paying people.
5. A minimum payment for 20 students is required for most optional school programs and for Sciencentre visits which include a science theatre show in ‘Show Zone’.
6. Payment: For an invoice, on arrival sign the Confirmation Entry Ticket and an invoice will be posted out. For a cheque, make cheques payable to Queensland Museum South Bank. Major credit cards or cash are also accepted for the Sciencentre and other charged exhibitions.
7. Notice of Cancellation: We require at least seven (7) days notice prior to the visit when cancelling. Cancellations received less that seven (7) days prior to the visit may result in a charge if a staff member has been booked to deliver a program. Cancellations may be sent via phone, fax or email.
8. If your group numbers increase or decrease by more than 5, please inform the Group Bookings Officer as soon as possible, as this may affect your itinerary.
9. Queensland Museum South Bank does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after a booking.

Privacy: The information collected and maintained by Queensland Museum South Bank comprises your name, school/group name, contact details and information specific to your booking. This information allows us to provide you with up-to-date information including current exhibitions, events, special offers and E-News, our on-line newsletter. Customers who elect to provide personal information on the booking form are advised that the management of such information falls within the scope of the Queensland Government’s Privacy Standard. In accordance with this standard, your personal information will not be passed on to any third party without your consent (unless required by law).
