Dr Lara Cain-Gray
Lara Cain-Gray has a background in cross-cultural studies and has worked as a teacher, researcher and librarian in Australia and the United Kingdom. Her graduate studies investigated cultural implications of the international release of Australian novels.
Before joining Queensland Museum she was the Australia and New Zealand Curator at the British Library, where she worked on the acquisition and promotion of Australasian published works. She was a founding member of the Australian and New Zealand Libraries and Archives Group, which allows curators, archivists and librarians across the UK and Europe to share knowledge about their work with Australasian material.
At the Queensland Museum, Lara researches the history and provenance of Museum objects. Her work contributes to major Museum projects as well as the day to day management of the collection.
