Features
Large, irregular dark splotches of blue-brown on legs. One of largest crayfish, can reach 500 mm.
Notes
Also commonly called Ornate Cray. On sandy, muddy or rock bottoms, but also on coral reefs, shallow, sometimes slightly turbid coastal waters, 1–8 m depth; often found near mouths of rivers. From Albany, WA, across northern Australia to northern NSW; Indo-West Pacific.
