This exhibition provides a unique and valuable opportunity for students to utilise three personal stories to investigate the themes associated with World War 1 and the Victoria Cross.

During a visit, students will:

  • Develop a broad overview of the experiences of the Western Front during World War 1.
  • Understand the history and significance of the Victoria Cross and the meaning behind the words For Valour.
  • Realise that war involves ordinary people and that each soldier has a personal story to tell.
