The Queensland Museum Foundation is the primary fundraising body for the Queensland Museum.

While the Queensland Government provides generous support for the operation of the Queensland Museum network, the realisation of new initiatives is often reliant upon external support.

The Foundation was established in 2003 by the Board of the Queensland Museum to raise funds to support the state-wide programs and strategic priorities of the Queensland Museum.
